okay so max brenner is this chain restaurant where the theme is chocolate "chocolate by the bald man". i'm deducing the actual max brenner is bald. we're talking the most decedent 10-page chocolate dessert menu and bleeding over onto the actual menu are waffle fries dusted with cocoa powder and hot wings offered up with chocolate blue cheese dipping sauce. count me in! and it's one block from our philadelphia apartment. yikes.
on your way out of the restaurant, you can stop by their shop and pick up individual chocolates (my favorite: the one with crushed cornflakes and black pepper) as well as spa products. thus, i'm addicted to their shower milk. it contains cocoa butter, 'natch, as well as dark honey, molasses, and wild flowers. the scent? VANILLA BOURBON. your shower becomes a heavenly place.
