last year i sat down in a darkened movie theatre and saw 72 films. i'm kinda amazed myself. we don't do netflix and i don't watch screeners. i like the good old fashioned move experience. complete with popcorn, when i'm feeling so inclined. and preferably with my best date, antonio, beside me (although he cant do quite as many as i can). so now i'm busy compiling my "Top 10 Films of 2011" list. i'm such a geek: this will be the 20th year anniversary of my list. i did it first with the 'top films of 1992'. wow. again, i just amazed myself. i always give myself until the Oscar nominations are released, just so i have time to catch all the wonderful "please consider this for academy awards" films that are released at christmastime. i think i've now seen all the ones i want of this year's contenders. and the oscar nominations will be announced on tuesday. so get ready for my list to be posted here on tuesday. i know you're all atingle, but you only have to wait 3 more days.
